Hummingbird Hill is the name of my farm. I moved here in July of 2007 to get away from the burbs. Coming with me were my husband Kevin, one dog Spot, one cat Casper and three horses, Spunky, Whinnie and Wizard. We have since acquired three more dogs, Elvis, Graceland and Skippy, a Percheron named Buck, another cat, Colonel Parker and currently twenty three alpacas. Hummingbird Hill gets its name from the large population of Hummers that moves in each spring.
Oh CCC, he is lovely. One day I will have me another big old man, one day.
ReplyDeleteHe is such a big baby.
ReplyDeleteHe was an upgrade, I was looking for something big enough for Kevin and happened to talk with a friend. She said she knew someone. Well, Buck had been being used at a barn in my area as a school horse, then one day he had 3 seizures. Well, the barn couldn't keep him for liability reasons so his owner was looking for something to do with him as she couldn't afford to board him anymore and she wanted to give him a chance. So we took him and he has been totally fine since. He and Spunky are best buds and we ride him now and again.
