NEW PACA PICS!!!
We had some snow that started on Friday, YEEEEHAWWWWW! Unfortunately, it did rain on Saturday morning so kinda messed up the pretty. I took these pics today because the sun was out.
Of course the little dark fawn cria is Clare Bear, the smaller white cria is Killer, the larger (snork) white cria is Tipper, the adult white paca is Chloe, she is due at the end of January, she is bred to the adult male that I have pictured. That is Artemus, he is our mega herdsire. Blood lines to die for, great fiber and a healthy show record. Doesn't he have a gorgeous face?

He's a hunkaPaca!
ReplyDeleteHey, there's another post!
I just noticed that..
Hah, I'm first, here, anyway.
Great pics, adorable, beautiful critters!
GL, click on the pic of Tipper, isn't his fiber gorgeous?
ReplyDeleteIf you click on Clare's pic though, you can see her fiber is different, much tighter. Just like her daddy and her Granddaddy who won the largest fiber show on record a few years back. MFI Donovan was 5 years old at the time, so even at that age, he beat the best.
What did the pacas think of the snow, CCC?
ReplyDeleteThe babies get to see their first snow. Aww so cute.
ReplyDeleteThey did seem to like it on Friday night. Of course it was too dark for pics. Then on Saturday, it friggin rained half the morning, so now we have a bloody mess.

They all look wonderful and healthy! but my favorite is little Clare
ReplyDeleteI looooove Chloe! I loooooove Clare! I waaaaannna paca!!!!! What a fun group, wish I lived closer. I would so be your herd sitter, whether you wanted a vacation or not! I hate mud almost as much as I hate ice. I do not like throwing hay out in the morning for the beasties and seeing skid marks in the muddy areas. Who slid? Who needs checked out for gimpiness? Oh, everyone is okay. Today.
ReplyDeleteI am hating this mud too Phaedra. This time of year is usually on the dry side, but we have had so much rain, that the water is just sitting on the ground. I hope we don't get any kind of storm with high winds any time soon, trees will be uprooting all over the place.
ReplyDeleteFern, I just love her too. She has the cutest face EVAR!
they look great, ccc! those crias are growing up so nicely. And handsome Artemus!
ReplyDeleteI love them.
I just want to sink my hands into their silky coats and kiss their little noses.
Just look at those eyes! Makes you want to just hug them and cuddle them and love them...
ReplyDeleteI know, I know. I just want to hug them and kiss their cute little faces. I am starting to work with them so that they will be friendly, but I have read you shouldn't start them too soon after birth, they say start between 3-6 months. Tip is just turning 3 months, although little Clare who is about 7 weeks seems really friendly, I get a nose kiss from her now. Makes me grin like a big idiot.
ReplyDeleteCCC,
ReplyDeleteTheir coats are gorgeous. It must be wonderful to pat them and have your hand sink into the thick coats.
Arty is one handsome dude. They all have beautiful faces and eyes.
bhm, I am constantly putting my hands on them, some don't like it much but some are okay with it. Chloe, the one who is due next month has a very plush coat. I just felt Tip's coat this evening, WOW!
ReplyDelete(gazing adoringly at pacas and crias)
ReplyDelete14th!
whew!
GL, what took you so long? Slipping?
ReplyDeleteI had to come back as well. I need a paca fix.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, cutest crias!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a pair of paca mitts.
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are cold to the bone..
(buries my fingers in Tip's plush)
Sorry, CCC. I can't believe I was so LATE!
Thank goodness Chloe isn't due until later this month.
Gotta keep the kramma juuust right;)
