DAMN IT'S HOT!!!

It has been so hot here for several weeks. Our average daytime temps this time of year are about 85, but lately, they have been in the mid-90's and we have even been at 100 and above. It is supposed to cool down later in the week, thank DOG!

These are just a couple of pics of my pacas trying to keep cool. The beach ball has a sprinkler inside, Clare Bear sure enjoyed that. As you can see by the pics, they do love their fans.

Also have a few pics of sunset here at HHF!

  3. Yep. It is that. We have had veeeeery few days lately that did not have T-storms. I work outside til the sweat starts running in my eyes. Then I head for the air-conditioning. And hide. Bleeeech! I really feel sorry for your poor, furry pacas! All that cute has a downside, doesn't it???

  4. Glad to see you are back to posting, and things with a happy nature to them. The beach ball sprinkler looks like fun. Around here a lot of people have mister systems hooked up and fans all over the place too.

Our barn has the niceset breeze that blows through, keeping it about 10-15 degrees cooler. Turnout is limited to evenings for the next few months. Although is smelled like rain the other day- Nothing! There was a cloud this morning, raining, but too high up to do the ground any good. It all evaporated long before it made it's way down. It's a yucky summer.

  7. We are having a break in temps, but it isn't going to last long, CCCCRRRRAAAAPPPPPPP!

Sure glad we stocked up on hay, not sure there will be much of a second cutting with the really extreme heat and lack of rain. Yeah for planning ahead and having the funds to do so!!

Going to get some soaker hoses next, the girls will love that!
